Papa's Projects

Wine Cabinet
The wine cabinet is solid cherry with a maple wine rack. The finish is hand rubbed furniture wax. The cabinet was built when I opened the workshop.
Night Stand Tables
The end tables are made of mahogany and maple. The finish is clear satin lacquer.

Backyard Gazebo
The gazebo was inspired by a woodworking project book. The basic structural design was taken from the plans. The roof and railings are design modifications. The brick enclosure was added to keep unwanted critters from finding a home.
Mission Bench
This is one of three benches with storage under the seat. Two of the benches were made of cherry for my daughters. The third, was made of maple for a nephew.

Kitchen Cabinets
The lumber for these kitchen cabinets was milled from old heart pine 2x4's and 2x6's taken from the interior walls of the house during a remodeling project. Some of the lumber had so much pine resin in them that thin cut boards were actually translucent. Several saw blades were damaged from hidden nails.
TV Cabinet
This is actually a client project. It was one of the first projects when I opened the shop on Hickory Ave. I have modified the cabinet two times. First was when the TV was replaced with a flat screen TV. The second was when the TV was removed and shelving installed in the opening.
